We are currently looking for:

1. Personal Assistant (part-time)

Want to learn all there is to learn about running a small business, particularly a jewelry business? We are looking for an all-rounder individual to personally assist the business owner on daily tasks and will get an inside look of what it's like running Poppylab. You will be given an opportunity to be closely involved in business coordination and executive-level tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• administrative and correspondence support i.e. replying to customer queries, suppliers and/or vendors, document organization and other types of coordination
• operations and inventory support i.e. inventory count, packing, price labeling and coordinating with pop-up staff (where needed)
• ensure smooth execution of operational and administrative matters
• optional: opportunity to learn and pickup basic jewelry making
• other ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

• we understand the need to balance work and personal commitments, and so this role is PART TIME and flexible. This means that you are able to choose the hours you would like to complete your tasks (to be discussed once confirmed)
• requirement is a minimum of 15 hours a week (up to 25 hours/week), depending on your availability (required: one afternoon a week at the Poppylab home studio in Bandar Sri Damansara)
• proficient in basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel and Google Drive
• responsible, detail-oriented and hard working with a good attitude
• good interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in English is a must
• willingness to learn
• able to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion
• willingness to travel (within Selangor/Kuala Lumpur only) is an added advantage

Benefits:

Training and guidance will be provided, however you are required to pick up tasks and work independently after a certain time frame. You will also be entitled to staff discounts and freebies. There is also an opportunity for personal development i.e. promotion to full time and other rewards.

2. Retail Sales Assistant

Poppylab is a growing Malaysian jewelry and accessories brand that focuses mainly on fun, quirky earrings and accessories. While Poppylab is mainly an online based business, pop-up shops to boost and drive sales as well as provide customers with a different shopping experience occur once in a while.

We are looking for a retail sales assistant:

• for a pop-up shop happening in Bangsar Village & Publika Shopping Gallery Mall
• attractive remuneration i.e. commission based, performance bonus, early attendance bonus and many more
• flexible days: 4 days/week (part-timers needed for these dates: 20th November - 8th December 2025 (Bangsar Village) and 5th - 28th December 2025 (Publika)

Responsibilities:

• A customer service representative who supports the day-to-day business operations of the pop-up store
• Important to meet sales target/KPIs in line with business objectives.
• Perform cashiering functions.
• Recommend and promote products to meet customers’ needs and objectives.
• Support in replenishing out of stock items on the display, and assisting in general housekeeping of pop-up shop to ensure clean, neat and presentable overall shop outlook.
• Any other daily operations duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Individuals who have keen interest and enjoy fashion, jewelry and accessories.
• Must have good communication skills i.e. English. Mandarin and BM is a plus
• Individuals who are responsible, hardworking, mature and of pleasant personality are encouraged to apply. Self-motivated sales persons are added advantages.
• Possess own transportation to Bangsar Village and/or Publika Shopping Gallery Mall

3. Social Media/Content Creator

We are looking for a creative individual to ideate, film and edit engaging videos for Poppylab. This includes:

• explore innovative methods to integrate trending topics into content
• enhance the relevance and reach of Poppylab to clients

Responsibilities:

• This individual must be proficient in creating relevant content with exceptional skills in design, video editing and social media copywriting.
• This individual must be able to create at least 2 - 4 videos of a variety within time frame provided

Other information:

• this is a part-time, remote role
• timing of deliverables will be per-determined later, based on the individual's and campaign schedule
• experience and a portfolio of existing work is required
